Biography:

Councillor Tejinder Dhami was born in Punjab in India, and came to the UK in 1962. The councillor has lived and worked in the borough of Ealing until his retirement and joined the Labour Party in 1988.

 

He became a Councillor for the London Borough of Ealing in May 2002, 2006 and 2010. Councillor Dhami has served on the Planning Committee, the Scrutiny Panel and the Corporate Parent Panel. He was also Group Secretary from 2006 to 2013 and Assistant Whip.

 

Councillor Dhami is a life member of the Indian Workers Association and was also an Executive Committee Member in 1997. He has also done voluntary work at the IWA. He is also a life member of the Indian Gymkhana and the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara and a member of the CO-OP.
